Learn how to configure WhatCart Pro, the ultimate WhatsApp sales machine and cart abandonment solution for your WooCommerce store.

1. Plugin Installation

Welcome to WhatCart Pro. Follow these straightforward steps to install the plugin on your WordPress site:

1. Navigate to your WordPress admin dashboard, then go to Plugins > Add New.
2. Click the Upload Plugin button at the top of the page.
3. Select the whatcart-pro.zip file you downloaded after your purchase.
4. Click Install Now, and once the process finishes, click Activate.

2. Core Configuration

WhatCart Pro is designed to be plug-and-play. Navigate to WhatCart in your WordPress dashboard sidebar to configure the core engine.

General Settings

• Telephone: Enter your WhatsApp number including the country code (e.g., 34600000000). Do not use ’+’ or spaces.
• Default Message / Cart Greeting: Define a standard greeting. You can use line breaks (press Enter) to format this message. This text will be used as the base message for general inquiries and as the greeting when a customer sends a full WooCommerce order.
• Global Floating Button: Check this box to display a persistent, aesthetically pleasing WhatsApp floating button in the bottom right corner of all your website pages.

3. Appearance & Styling

Switch to the Appearance section within the settings to seamlessly match the button to your brand’s identity:

• Button Layout Style: Choose between three elegant designs:
  • Text Only (No Icon)
  • Icon + Text (Default)
  • Icon Only (Circular)
• Background Colour: Select the primary background color for your buttons (defaults to the official WhatsApp green: #25D366).
• Text & Icon Colour: Select the color for the text and SVG icon (defaults to white: #ffffff).

4. WooCommerce Integration (Automated)

WhatCart Pro’s true power lies in its automated WooCommerce integration. No manual configuration is required.

Once activated, the plugin will automatically:

Inject Buttons: Place the “Order via WhatsApp” button on Single Product pages, the Cart page, and the Checkout page. (Note: Fully compatible with both classic WooCommerce templates and the modern React-based Cart/Checkout Blocks). Parse Cart Data: When a user clicks the button from the Cart or Checkout, the plugin silently extracts all items, quantities, and the total price, formatting them into a beautiful summary list. Append Reference URLs: Every message sent via WhatCart will automatically include the exact URL the customer was browsing, providing you with perfect context.

5. Using Shortcodes

Want to place a WhatsApp button inside a blog post, a custom header, or an Elementor widget? Use the built-in shortcode:

You can customize the button on the fly using attributes:

Custom Text: [whatcart_button text=“I am interested in your consulting services”] Line Breaks: If you need line breaks inside the shortcode message, use \n literally: [whatcart_button text="Hello,\nI need help with my account"] Custom Label: [whatcart_button label=“Chat with Sales”] Force Circular Icon: If you want a perfectly round, icon-only button specifically for a widget or header, simply leave the label empty: [whatcart_button label=""]

6. Smart Desktop QR Codes

To eliminate friction for desktop users who might not have WhatsApp Web configured, WhatCart Pro includes a Smart Desktop QR feature.

This works automatically out of the box. If a user clicks ANY WhatCart button (Floating, WooCommerce, or Shortcode) while browsing on a desktop device (screens wider than 768px), they will be presented with a sleek modal containing a dynamically generated QR code.

They simply scan it with their mobile device’s camera to instantly open the pre-filled chat on their phone.
